- Click another position — the current text is confirmed (rasterized) and a new text field is placed
- Escape — confirms the current text and returns to pen mode (Draw mode stays active)
- Scroll wheel — change font size
- Color keys (R/G/B/O/Y/P) — change text color

Spotlight
Press S to arm the spotlight tool, then drag a rectangle. Everything outside the rectangle is dimmed so the audience's attention is drawn to that area. Only one spotlight rectangle exists at a time — press S again and drag to replace it. After confirming a rectangle, the tool returns to normal drawing so you can immediately annotate on top of the spotlight.
- Drag (after S) — creates the spotlight rectangle
- S (again) — clears the active spotlight
- ↑ / ↓ — increase / decrease dimming opacity
- Escape — exits Draw mode and clears the spotlight
